I Play chess on-line since 2001
I From Portugal....
Santarém is the name of town where I live...

I Played chess on-line Regularly at Playchess.com with the Nick(Scala and a number ex: Scala1) and at Free Internet Chess Server (FICS) with the nick Scala.

I like to play 1+0 or 3+0 Games...

I don’t use any kind of helps while I play, just my imagination.
I like to listening music while I play.

This blog will not be update regulary...

About my rating...
At playchess.com usually is between 1400 and 1500 but sometimes I can do a little better as you can see in the picture.

This rating was obtain playing 3+0 games after 80 games, in Playchess.com

Yesterday, I found a new chess site where I can Play. Its call Chesscube.
It seems to be a nice place to play, very friendly place. My username is Scala, as usually. I like  the site.

Why I call me in internet "Scala"?

My Username is "Scala" is in honor of my city Santarém…

Of the various legends related to the foundation of Santarém, the most famous tells of the Visigoth Saint Iria (or Irene), who was supposedly martyred in Tomar (Nabantia) and whose uncorrupted body reached Santarém. In her honour, the name of the town (then known by its Latin name Scalabis) would later be changed to Sancta Irene, from which Santarém would eventually be derived.

So Scala came from Scalabis…
